Price Action:
Gold Price:
Gold opened the week trading at $2,333 per ounce after closing the previous week 1.68% higher. There was little movement in gold for most of the week, with the majority of price movement coming in the last 2 trading days.
On Monday, gold consolidated for much of the day, steadily moving lower with minimal fluctuation. Price fell 0.57% to close at $2,319 per ounce. DXY and Treasury Yields also experienced moves lower which supported gold from falling further.
On Tuesday, gold opened at $2,319 per ounce. Price moved sideways and reversed some of the decline from Monday, closing 0.44% higher at $2,330 per ounce.
On Wednesday, price fell $2 to close the day at $2,328 per ounce.
On Thursday, fluctuations began to occur in the gold market with price rising 1.37% to close the day at $2,360 per ounce.
At the time of writing, gold is trading at $2,340 per ounce, and it is on track to close the week 0.3% higher.
Silver Price:
Silver opened the week trading at $29.56 per ounce.
At the time of writing, silver is $29.79 per ounce, and it is on track to close the week 0.8% higher.
